What you need to know before booking

Can I choose a specific room or request adjacent rooms?

At El Tránsito we sell categories, not numbered rooms. The specific room assignment is made by the reservations team beforehand — never at check-in — based on the composition of the group, the occupancy for those dates and the characteristics of the stay. If you need adjacent rooms, you can request this when booking: we will do our best to honour that request, though it is always subject to confirmation.

Are activities included in all room categories?

Yes. All lodge activities — boat trip, horse-drawn canoe, horseback ride to the refuge, nature walk, kayak and village visit — are included in the rate regardless of room category. The only activities with an additional charge are sport fishing and wellness services (massages, yoga, pilates).

What exactly does the rate include?

The rate is fully all-inclusive: full breakfast with regional produce, three-course lunch, afternoon tea and three-course dinner. All drinks throughout the day, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. All activities included (see above). Outdoor pool, high-speed WiFi throughout, bicycles and private parking.

Do international guests receive a VAT exemption?

Yes. Foreign visitors are exempt from Argentina's 21% IVA (VAT), which represents approximately 17% off the published rate. This benefit applies automatically at the time of payment and is one of the structural advantages of visiting El Tránsito as an international traveller.

Are children welcome in all room categories?

Yes. The Junior Family Suite and Casa Yaguareté are especially designed for families. The Suite also accommodates up to 3 adults or configurations with children. For family groups, we always recommend getting in touch with the exact group composition so we can assign the most suitable accommodation.

Does Casa Yaguareté offer in-house dining?

Yes. Casa Yaguareté has dedicated service and the option to have all meals served inside the house. Guests can also choose to join the rest of the lodge in the restaurant. The decision is entirely up to the guests.
